Brazilian wax?
Has anyone done this at home themselves? If so, please recommend an appropriate kit. I am wanting it done, but I feel I might be too modest to go into the salon and have someone peeking between my legs. Also, is it as painful as people say? How long does the hair have to be for the wax to be effective? I'm asking because I normally wear a bikini wax cut very, very close. I have heard that you need a good amount of hair. Any suggestions/advice would be helpful...smart azz answers are NOT. Thanks.
I'm a licensed esthetician, and I can tell you, it is not that bad to go in and have one done. I've always been really modest too, but it's not too bad at all. It beats attempting to do it at home yourself any day. Let me tell you this: any kits you can buy at the store are no good! They hurt and are really poor quality. Also, if you haven't had the proper training, not only will it hurt really bad, but you could also injure youself. Please do not try it at home. I really reccommend making an appointment and going in to get one done. Just shower the morning of your appointment, take a couple Advil, and go for it. You will be so glad you did once it is over!!!
